Cahaya Bangsa Classical School is a member of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS) and accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Governance

Cahaya Bangsa Classical School is a non-profit institution, whose parent foundation, Yayasan Berkah Bagi Bangsa, is a registered non-profit organization in the Republic of Indonesia (Republik Indonesia) under the Department of Law and Human Rights, and whose official letter of registration is “C-1243.HT.01.02.TH 2006.”

The overall responsibility of the Foundation is to advance the school according to our statement of faith, under the school’s by-laws, and in accordance with its stated objectives and mission.

Operating Licenses

The Early Childhood’s legal status is “License to Build a School”, registered in Department of Education in Bandung Regency, with letter registration number “421.1/3404.3 Disdik/2007,” dated 1 October 2007 and SPK (Satuan Pendidikan Kerja Sama) License for Preschool and Kindergarten, registered in Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia, with registration numbers 63/MPK.B1/DU/2015 and 56/MPK.B1/DU/2015

The Grammar School’s legal status is “License to Build an Elementary School” registered in Department of Education at the Bandung Regency with letter registration number “421.2/3404.4-disdik 2007,” dated 1 October 2007. Grammar School was accredited “A” (Very Good) by DIKNAS on 9 November 2010, certification number 02.00/533/BAP-SM/XI/2010 and and SPK (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama) License for Grammar School, registered in Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia, with registration numbers 96/MPK.C/KL/2015.

The School of Logic’s legal status is “License to Build a Middle School”, registered in Department of Education the Bandung Regency, with letter registration number “421.3/1275-Disdik/2007,” dated April 2007. The School of Logic (Junior High School) was accredited “A” (Very Good) by DIKNAS on 25 November 2015, certification number 02.00/151/BAP-SM/SK/XI/2015. The School of Logic has received its temporary SPK (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama) Licence for Junior High School which is registered in Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia, with registration number 110/ MPK.D /KS/ 2018.

The School of Rhetoric’s legal status is “License to Plan Building a School” registered in Department of Education at Bandung Barat Regency with letter registration number “4213/1653 Disdikpora,” dated 16 June 2010. The School of Rhetoric (high school) was accredited “A” (Very Good) by DIKNAS on 28 October 2011, certification number 02.00/693/BAP-SM/X/2011. The School of Rhetoric also received the SPK (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama) Licence for  Senior High School, which is issued by Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia, with registration number  780/D/KEP/KP/2015.

Cahaya Bangsa Classical School has been accredited by both ACSI and WASC which are acknowledged worldwide.

Commendations:

1. The school faculty, leadership, staff, and board members consistently and wholeheartedly support the philosophy, mission, and vision of the school and demonstrate unwavering commitment to the development of their students. (Indicators 1.4, 1.5)

2. The school board and leadership demonstrate strong Christian faith and a focus on Christ-like leadership. (Indicator 2.2)

3. Cahaya Bangsa provides a variety of regular, well established, multidimensional and effective means of communication that uses state of the art technology (Indicator 3.4).

4. Cahaya Bangsa Classical School faculty and staff are highly committed to the school’s philosophy, mission, and vision, and strongly support biblically-based relationships. (Indicator 4.3)

5. CBCS has a well-written professional development plan for all its faculty and staff. It is ongoing and is aligned with specific goals to support the school’s instructional programs. It includes training in the Christian school philosophy of education. (Indicator 4.7)

6. A thorough and comprehensive Continuous School Improvement Plan with realistic timelines for attainment of the goals that seek to strengthen mission effectiveness and vision accomplishment. (Indicator 8.2, 8.3, 8.4)
