G12 Thesis Defense
This year the CBCS senior thesis defense will be conducted differently due to the unexpected circumstance and challenges. The Rhetoric 2 team, with support from the Upper School leadership team, has made this change to both provide support to our senior students and to limit the possible technical difficulties. We came to this decision without neglecting the values and standards of the senior thesis defense program that CBCS has established.
The following is the detailed information. The students will record the 18-20 minute oration on their own in front of the minimum of two audiences and submit the non-edited oration video recording by May 11, 2020. The distance senior thesis defense will be conducted live using the Zoom application from May 14 - May 20, 2020. Each student will have a 45-minute defense session. In this session, the panelist and audience will watch the oration recording and the session continues with the student’s demonstration to defend his/her thesis by answering questions from the audience and panelists. CBCS faculty, staff, and community are welcome to attend the senior thesis defense sessions.

Thesis Defense Kelas 12
Tahun ini program Senior Thesis Defense akan diselenggarakan dengan bentuk yang sedikit berbeda tanpa mengurangi nilai-nilai dan standar yang CBCS telah tetapkan dan junjung. Perubahan ini sebagai upaya kami untuk memberikan dukungan kepada murid-murid kelas 12 dan juga menyikapi situasi yang tidak terduga. Tim Rhetoric 2 sangat bersyukur untuk dukungan dan bimbingan pimpinan departemen Upper School.
Berikut ini informasi lengkap bentuk penyelenggaraan Senior Thesis Defense tahun 2020. Murid-murid akan merekam presentasi/orasi mereka terlebih dahulu di rumah mengikuti panduan lengkap yang akan dibagikan. Dalam rekaman orasi ini murid-murid tidak diperbolehkan mengedit video dan rekaman wajib dihadiri oleh dua penonton langsung di rumah. Rekaman akan dikumpulkan pada tanggal 11 Mei 2020. Pekan thesis defense akan berlangsung pada 14 Mei 2020 sampai dengan 20 Mei 2020 secara daring menggunakan aplikasi Zoom. Setiap murid akan diberikan 45 menit untuk mempertunjukan rekaman orasi dan mempertahankan thesis melalui sesi tanya-jawab yang dipandu oleh tim Rhetoric 2 dan dihadiri oleh beberapa murid-murid yang telah membaca dan mereview paper mereka. Sesi ini juga terbuka untuk dihadiri oleh guru, staf, dan komunitas Cahaya Bangsa.
