Indonesian Studies for Expatriate Students

Dear all non-Indonesian families in SOR CBCS,

I would like to inform you that the Ministry of Education & Culture of Republic Indonesia issued a regulation to all SPK schools (known before as International School) across Indonesia that the school needs to provide a special class for all non-Indonesian (Expatriate) students to study Indonesian Language and Culture. This class has to be different from the regular Indonesian Studies class which is taken by Indonesian Students.

Therefore, to follow government regulation, starting this school year, CBCS is going to provide a class called "Indonesian Studies for Expatriate" for each grade level (G10, G11, and G12). This class (two periods a week) is mandatory for all expatriate students. We are not giving an option like last year, where the expatriate students may choose between joining the regular class with all Indonesian students or having a private tutor from outside the school.

Kelas Indonesian Studies untuk Murid WNA

Kepada Yth. Seluruh Keluarga Warga Negara Asing (WNA) di CBCS,

Kami ingin menyampaikan bahwa Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia mengeluarkan sebuah peraturan kepada semua sekolah SPK (dahulu dikenal sebagai sekolah internasional) di wilayah Indonesia bahwa sekolah harus menyediakan kelas khusus bagi para murid WNA untuk belajar tentang bahasa dan budaya Indonesia. Kelas ini harus berbeda dengan kelas pelajaran Indonesia yang diambil oleh murid Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI).

Oleh karena itu, untuk mengikuti peraturan tersebut, mulai dari tahun ajaran ini, CBCS akan menyediakan sebuah kelas bernama “Indonesian Studies for Expatriate” untuk masing-masing angkatan (G10, G11 dan G12). Kelas ini (dua jam pelajaran per minggu) bersifat wajib bagi semua murid WNA. Kami tidak lagi memberikan pilihan seperti tahun lalu, dimana murid WNA dapat memilih antara mengambil kelas umum untuk WNI atau mengambil les privat di luar sekolah.
