12th Grade Thesis Defense

The Class of 2023 will have the annual Senior Thesis Defense. This is the crowning achievement of their classical education, the thing all of our students will do just before graduating from Cahaya Bangsa. Throughout their CBCS school career, our students have been writing essays, analyzing discourses, learning logic, and practicing rhetoric—all in preparation for this moment. They've taken a year to study  a topic, decide on an argument about what they believe, and have written a 20+ page essay, revised it into a presentation, and will now defend their arguments in front of a panel of their teachers. We hope our graduates will be able to articulate and defend their ideas well through a Biblical worldview.

This year 12th grade Thesis Defense will be held in two different venues, namely Selasar Sunaryo and CBCS New Life Chapel, during school hours, from Wednesday, May 10 - Wednesday, May 24, 2023. The detailed schedule can be found below.

Thesis Defense Kelas 12 

Angkatan 2022 akan menjalani Senior Thesis Defense tahunan. Inilah puncak pencapaian pendidikan klasikal mereka, hal yang dilakukan oleh seluruh siswa sebelum lulus dari Cahaya Bangsa. Sepanjang sekolah mereka di CBCS, para siswa telah menulis esai, menganalisis wacana, mempelajari logika, dan mempraktikkan retorika—semuanya sebagai persiapan untuk momen ini. Mereka telah mengambil waktu satu tahun untuk mempelajari suatu topik, memutuskan suatu argumen tentang apa yang mereka yakini, dan telah menulis esai sebanyak 20 halaman lebih, merevisinya menjadi presentasi, dan sekarang akan mempertahankan argumen mereka di depan panel guru mereka. Kami berharap lulusan kami dapat mengartikulasikan dan mempertahankan ide-ide mereka dengan baik melalui pandangan dunia yang Alkitabiah.

Thesis Defense kelas 12 tahun ini akan diadakan di dua tempat berbeda, Selasar Sunaryo dan CBCS New Life Chapel pada jam sekolah reguler, pada hari Rabu - Rabu, 10 - 24 Mei 2023. Jadwalnya tersedia di tabel di bawah ini.
